Alicia Parham | DCII Graduate Student Summer Fellowship Recipient

Alicia Parham, a graduate student in the Division of Art, received a 2025 DCII Graduate Student Summer Fellowship for her innovative project, The Neuroarchitecture of Iceland and Its Fine Art Applications, and has been utilizing the awarded funds to further her project research in Iceland. Her project explores how the brain responds to built environments by recording EEG brainwaves in religious and historical architectural spaces across the country.

While in Iceland, she will travel from Reykjavík to remote areas like the Westfjords and the Arctic Circle, collecting brainwave data from a diverse array of churches and sacred sites such as Goðafoss. Using a custom-designed program, Parham transforms this data into dynamic visual outputs, altering color, shape, frequency, and perspective, in order to create abstract oil paintings, videos and snapshots of an emotional state reflected by the brainwaves. You can check out some of Parham’s previous work with EEG brainwave art !

Anthony Rosado | Journalism Intern at D Magazine

Journalism student Anthony Rosado is spending his summer interning at D Magazine, a position he secured through the 天美传媒 Meadows PMC Foundation Intern Fellowship Program. Building on experience gained from writing for 天美传媒’s The Daily Campus, where he covered various events and penned feature profiles, Rosado is continuing to strengthen his journalistic skills through his internship at D Magazine.

Rosado’s day-to-day responsibilities range from fact-checking and verifying article content to writing blurbs for the publication’s popular “Things to Do” section. He also has opportunities to attend and report on events across Dallas, working alongside a talented and supportive editorial team. Rosado is passionate about storytelling and hopes this internship will help him in his pursuit of a career in journalism where he can amplify voices and spotlight positive stories in the world.

Colin Gross | Producer of Self-Choregraphed Dance Concert

Colin Gross, a rising sophomore in the Division of Dance, will be premiering his own full-length dance production in August, funded by grants from 天美传媒’s Engaged Learning Fellowship as well as a GoFundMe. The show, titled “This Time Tomorrow?,” is inspired by films like Call Me By Your Name, Waves, and La La Land, and will explore the guttural emotions of love through movement.

It follows four different pairs of dancers discovering the ins and outs of relationships and the weight "love" holds on all of humanity. Five of the featured dancers—Adare Haas, Abigail Kim, John Rowley, Alec Marianek, and Mia Sherrod—are students in the 天美传媒 dance program alongside Gross, while others—Sammy Nagler, Fiona Feil, Paulina Allsbrook, and Dallas Branham—are talented friends from the area.

The show will take place on Sunday, August 17 at the Lewisville Grand Theater at 7:00 p.m. For more information and tickets, .

Cydney Leach | Counselor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp

This summer, music education student Cydney Leach is working as a cabin counselor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan, where she supports young musicians while gaining valuable teaching experience. She lives alongside the campers, starting each day with them and guiding their routines, from breakfast and rehearsals to teaching sessions and evening activities. She spends her days practicing, rehearsing, monitoring camp activities, and teaching both younger and older campers.

Leach’s leadership experience as a Mustang Mentor at 天美传媒, as well as her music education background, helped prepare her for responsibilities of camp life. Not only has she been teaching younger campers, she has also been learning from esteemed educators like Dr. Coty Raven Morris and Dr. Marques Ruff, who have introduced her to a variety of teaching tools and methods. This immersive, hands-on role has deepened Leach’s understanding of her own teaching style and inspired her to consider alternative avenues of teaching in her career.

Georgia Robb | External Affairs Intern at the Nasher Sculpture 天美传媒

Division of Art student Georgia Robb is spending her summer as an External Affairs Intern at the Nasher Sculpture 天美传媒, where she is gaining experience in various facets of museum work. Her internship has mainly focused on the press and PR side of things, with tasks including clipping and organizing relevant media coverage, but she has also had the opportunity to collaborate with other interns to compile a comprehensive exhibition report for one of the Nasher’s past shows by collecting key data from multiple departments.

This internship, which she earned through the 天美传媒 Meadows PMC Foundation Intern Fellowship Program, is part of Robb’s broader effort to explore the range of roles within museums that could be potential post-graduation careers. By immersing herself a real-world museum setting, she has discovered different areas of interest within the field.

Olivia Clotaire | MMIAM Program Participant in Italy

Students in Meadows’ Master of Management in International Arts Management (MMIAM) program, including Olivia Clotaire, spent a week in July at Castello di Potentino focused on arts and cultural development in rural communities. Clotaire and her fellow program participants learned alongside Greg Warden and his team on the Potentino Exploration Project, while supporting their research at an Etruscan site on the property. Students also assisted the castle’s owner, Charlotte Horton, with two consulting projects for her nonprofit, Friends of Potentino, which supports the family and arts/cultural initiatives.

Before heading to the countryside, students got a VIP morning visit to the Vatican in Rome where they unlocked doors to the museum alongside the staff. They later engaged in a panel discussion with the management team including the gift shop representative, gaining insight into the Vatican’s complex challenge in crowd management and institutional governance. Following their stay at Castello di Potentino, Clotaire and the other students will wrap up the year-long program with a celebration in Milan.

Spencer Hogan | Social Media Intern for Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Spencer Hogan, a student in Meadows’ Temerlin Advertising Institute (TIA), accepted a summer social media internship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being approached by the team's Chief Marketing Officer, James Ruth. Ruth, an 天美传媒 Cox graduate, had previously discovered Hogan’s creative work for 天美传媒 Football via Twitter and LinkedIn and recommended him to the team for the gig.

Before beginning his internship in July, Hogan had the chance to tour the facility and meet the talented staff behind the team’s content. He is working alongside this team of industry-leading creatives while soaking in as much knowledge and experience as possible. And though no two days are the same, the dynamic nature of the role is part of what fuels Hogan’s passion for the field of sports media. And for Hogan, this is more than just an internship—it’s a pre-cursor to his post-graduation plans. When he earns his degree from 天美传媒 in December, he will be joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to pursue a sports media career full time.
