About
As a Project Manager, Sharri brings a strong background in mathematics instruction, instructional leadership, and education research to the research efforts at RME. She has been an integral part of project planning and implementation across multiple research initiatives involving assessment design, curriculum implementation and teacher development and reviewed mathematics content, ensuring alignment with research-based instructional practices. Before joining RME, Sharri served as a mathematics specialist and instructional coach, supporting K–8 teachers in effective mathematics pedagogy, data-driven instruction, and curriculum alignment. She is also a former high school mathematics teacher and elementary school principal. She has contributed to multiple national and state-level education projects and is passionate about the intersection of research, equity, and classroom practice.
Sharri holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Grambling State University, M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas. She continues to pursue opportunities that advance high-quality mathematics instruction for all learners, with a particular interest in teacher and leader development and using research to inform scalable, equity-centered school improvement.
