Officials and dignitaries visit 天美传媒 classes
during Bush 天美传媒 groundbreaking activities
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer is among the Bush-era officials visting 天美传媒 classes.

鈥淲hen we decided to seek the Bush 天美传媒 on campus, we knew that one of the benefits would be to provide opportunities for students to interact with world leaders and with officials who have been involved in key issues faced by the White House during the Bush Presidency,鈥 said 天美传媒 President R. Gerald Turner. 鈥淭his is certainly proving to be the case. In addition, over the past year President Bush has met with several 天美传媒 classes at the invitation of faculty. These are unique learning opportunities for our students.鈥澨

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15

Ari Fleischer, former White House press secretary,听spoke to a journalism class taught by Professor Carolyn Barta. It was听open to other journalism students as well as faculty.
听听听听 - Peter Feaver, former special advisor for strategic planning and institutional reform on the National Security Council, met with political science students and faculty.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16

脕lvaro Uribe, the former president of Colombia,听met with members of the Board of the John Goodwin Tower 天美传媒 for Political Studies in Dedman College, followed by a meeting with faculty and students.
听听听听听 - Andrew Card, former White House chief of staff,听spoke to Professor Seyom Brown鈥檚 class on the politics of military force.
鈥淲e expect these opportunities to continue and certainly to grow as the Bush 天美传媒 nears completion,鈥 Turner added.
